AL-HARAMEEN

Privacy Policy

This site is a set of static pages showing AL-HARAMEEN products and prayer times. It asks you for no account, contains no sign-up form, and sets no cookie. What follows is everything that actually happens — no generalities.

What we do not collect

We do not collect your name, your e-mail, your number or your location. The site has no submission forms, no membership sign-up, no shopping basket and no comment system. It is a set of static pages with no database, so the site itself keeps no record about you; the only exception is the usual server logs kept by our hosting company, mentioned below.

What is stored on your own device

When you pick your city on the home page or in the prayer-times explorer, choose the 12-hour or 24-hour time display, or use the tasbih counter on the calendar page, your browser keeps that choice on your device so you do not have to enter it again. The values are held in local browser storage under the names hrm.city, hrm.cityAll, hrm.cityKey, hrm.timefmt and hrm.tasbih. They are never sent to a server, we never see them, and nobody but you can read them. You can erase them at any time from your browser settings, under clearing site data. If you use «My prayer times offline» (the app page), your browser also keeps the app's own files and the prayer table of the city you choose in its cache, so that it works without a connection; this holds nothing about you and is erased when you clear the site's data.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies, and uses no tracking, analytics or advertising tool. You will not see a cookie-consent banner here because there is nothing to consent to.

External parties

First: the page fonts (Cairo and Tajawal) have been served from our own server since 3 October 2026, so your browser contacts no outside font service. Second: on the City Explorer page only, a small map of the city you picked is shown in an embedded Google Maps frame, so your browser connects to Google and that city's location reaches it, together with your IP address and browser type — as happens with any file fetched from the internet. Nothing else about you is sent with it, we do not use it for tracking, and we add no tracker of our own.

Links that leave this site

The site links to the official AL-HARAMEEN store, to explanatory videos on YouTube, and to our social and WhatsApp accounts. Clicking any of them takes you to another site governed by its policy, not ours. Read each destination's own policy before sharing any data with it.

If you write to us

Our address sales@al-harameen.com appears on the site. If you write to us we will see what you wrote and your e-mail address, and we use it only to answer you — not for a mailing list, not for any marketing purpose, and we neither sell it nor share it.

Prayer times

Each city's prayer times are precomputed and published on our server in a file named after that city, so when you pick your city your browser downloads that city's file — meaning the city's name appears in the request URL, exactly as the address of any page you open does. We tie it to no name and no account, we build no profile of you, and what exists are the ordinary server logs kept by our hosting company. Your choice itself stays on your own device. The City Explorer and the Calendar offer an optional “Automatic Qibla from my location” button: when you press it and allow it in your browser, the browser passes your coordinates to the page only to compute the Qibla bearing. The calculation runs inside the browser; the coordinates are never stored and never sent to AL-HARAMEEN or anyone else. The button does nothing unless you press it.

Setup, time and Qibla tools

The Setup Studio, Clock Doctor, Exact Time, Your Mosque Board and Qibla & the Sun pages do their work inside your browser. Apart from downloading the prayer-times file of the city you pick, as described above, they send us nothing you enter: the model, the times you type and the settings you choose stay in the browser, and the settings are written into the page's own address so that you can bookmark or share it — like any address you open, that address appears in our hosting company's ordinary server logs when the page loads. The Clock Doctor may also download the files of a few candidate cities (six at most), which it picks inside your browser by comparing your times; the names of those cities then appear in the request addresses, but the times you typed are not sent. Each of these pages has an optional button that uses your location: when you press it and allow it in your browser, the browser passes your coordinates to the page only to find the city nearest to you; they are never stored and never sent to AL-HARAMEEN or anyone else. The live compass on the Qibla & the Sun page reads your phone's orientation only after you press its button (and allow it, if the browser asks), and the reading stays in the browser. The Exact Time page asks our own server for its current time — at most 12 empty requests per measurement — to measure the offset of your device's clock; these are ordinary requests that carry nothing about you. The city you pick on these pages is kept on your device under the same names listed above, hrm.cityAll and hrm.cityKey, so that the site's other pages open on your city, and your 12- or 24-hour choice is kept under hrm.timefmt.

The offline app, the prayer-times box and the azan voices

The «My prayer times offline» page registers in your browser a service worker whose work is limited to the app page's own address, with no connection to the site's other pages; it keeps the app's files and your city's table in the browser's cache and shows them when the connection drops, and it sends nothing to anyone. The prayer-times box that mosque and community websites put on their pages loads from our server together with the file of the city chosen by the website's owner; it stores nothing on that website visitor's device and reads nothing from it, and its requests, like any request, appear in our hosting company's ordinary server logs. On the Azan voices page the audio samples play from our server only when you press a listen button. The gift card in the Setup Studio and the screen calibration of the wrist template stay inside the page: the names, the message and the scale are not saved, and none of them is added to the share link. It also remembers the language you chose for it, on your device only, under the name hrmAppLang; that too never leaves your browser.

Changes to this policy

If any of the above changes — if we add a contact form, say — we will update this page and change the last-updated date at its foot. We will not add any tracking tool without stating it here plainly.
