Since the new website went live in September, we have kept adding free tools for everyone who wants to pray on time — whether or not you own an AL-HARAMEEN clock. They all work in twelve languages, need no account, and keep your choices on your own device. Here is what is new.
Prayer times from the newest edition of our engine
The times of all 10,000 cities now come from the 27 October 2026 edition of the AL-HARAMEEN prayer engine — the same engine that runs inside our clocks, checked against the official tables of the authorities in each country. The pages of 200 major cities show today's times and the days ahead, with the code that sets your clock to that city.
Azan alerts on your phone
Open «My prayer times offline», choose your city and press «Alert me at the azan». An alert reaches your phone at every prayer you pick — at the azan itself or a few minutes before — even when the app is closed. We ask for no name and no number. On an iPhone, add the app to the Home Screen first.
Under «Extra reminders» you can also choose:
- Suhoor in Ramadan, a few minutes before Fajr, and iftar at Maghrib with the iftar dua.
- Surat al-Kahf on Friday morning, and a reminder before the Friday prayer.
- The morning adhkar after Fajr and the evening adhkar after Asr.
- Voluntary fasts — Mondays and Thursdays, the White Days, Arafah and Ashura — the evening before.
- The moon-sighting news for Ramadan and Eid in your country.
A prayer-times card to share
On every city page, and in the app, the button «Share today's times» draws a ready-made image: square for chats or tall for status updates and stories, for today or for the whole week, with your mosque's name if you wish, and a QR code that opens your city's times. In Ramadan it shows the day of the month with the suhoor and iftar times, and on Fridays it marks the Friday prayer.
The Qibla through the camera
On the «Qibla & the Sun» page, the new button «Qibla through the camera» draws the Qibla direction over your camera's view: turn slowly until it tells you that you are facing the Qibla. A phone's compass can drift near metal and appliances, so you can calibrate it with the real sun in one tap during the day — never look straight at the sun. The camera works inside your phone only: nothing is recorded or sent.
